Take a 6 Inch plastic scale and mount a Chana (Chikpea) seed at the two ends and the middle. Place the scale in a transparent glass and fill it with water exactly to the middle of the second seed and add water to maintain the level daily. Ensure that one seed is fully submerged in water, second is half in water half in air and third is fully in air. Observe the three seeds germinate.
