Tidal Turbine Model | NCERT Class IX

The tidal turbine is made using a plastic bottle, card sheet strip (which acts as a turbine) and thick wire (which is used to mount the turbine on top of a bottle whose base has been cut off). When this bottle is bobbed up and down in a bucket of water, the turbine rotates as the water exerts pressure on the air in the bottle and that is ejected through a hole in the bottle cap to rotate the turbine.
