DIY Thermometer | NCERT Class 7

Making a simple mixture of spirit (alcohol) and water with a colouring agent, we create a thermometer in a plastic container, to which we attach a capillary tube. When the container is dipped in a water bath of different temperatures, we can observe the coloured liquid climb up or descend the capillary tube
